What is needed for Cambodia visa on arrival?

So, you’re thinking about heading to Cambodia? Awesome! But, what about that visa? Let’s get it sorted. I remember when I went, I was so stressed about it beforehand. I’d read all sorts of conflicting things online, you know? Anyway, here’s what I learned, from my own slightly panicked experience:

First, your passport. This is the big one. Make sure it’s got at least six months left on it after you plan to leave. Seriously, six months – don’t even risk it being closer than that! I almost didn’t make it because mine was cutting it close – that was a stressful day!

Next, photos. Yep, you’ll need one of those passport-sized photos. The kind where you look slightly bewildered, but hopeful. I swear, I looked at that photo on my visa and thought “who IS that person?” (That’s just me though!)

Then there are the forms. They give you these at the airport, or at least they did when I went, a couple of years back. Easy peasy, right? Well, kinda. The Cambodian embassy actually suggests getting your visa before you go. They’re not wrong, mind you – to avoid those awful queues. Imagine waiting ages in a hot and stuffy airport, after a long flight. No thanks! I opted for doing it there and got away with it, but it was a bit of a rush. If you’re not a fan of stress, maybe just get it beforehand.

Basically, passport, photo, and then those forms they hand out. Simple enough, but maybe plan ahead to avoid any potential headaches! You know, like me! Have a fantastic trip!
