What is the highest amount of money on a Visa gift card?

Okay, so you wanna know the absolute max amount you can cram onto a Visa gift card, huh? I get it! I've been there, dreaming of plastic-powered possibilities.

Well, prepare yourself... because it's not quite the "unlimited funds" fantasy we might have. Sadly! From what I've dug up (and believe me, I have dug), the highest amount I've personally seen that you can actually load onto one of those reloadable Visa gift cards is around $5,000.

Yeah, I know, a little disappointing, right? You'd think they'd let you go higher! I mean, imagine the possibilities! But, hey, $5,000 is still nothing to sneeze at.

Although, here's the kicker that kinda bums me out: They usually cap how many times you can reload the card. It's usually only like, four times? Seriously?! I always think, four reloads?! That's hardly enough for a serious shopping spree, let alone, you know...putting a down payment on that slightly used spaceship I've been eyeing. A girl can dream, can't she?

But, all things considered, I guess $5,000 is a pretty awesome starting point. You could do some serious damage at the mall with that! Or maybe finally buy that ridiculously expensive coffee machine you've been wanting. Hmmm... now I'm getting ideas!
