What plug type is used in Germany?

Ugh, German plugs, right?! Always messing me up. I swear, every single time I pack for Germany, I forget it's those Type F plugs, the Schuko ones. So annoying! Rummaging through my bag for that adapter… Don't you hate that? I mean, seriously, round pins? Why can't they just be like everyone else? Like, what's the deal with that? Okay, okay, I'll admit, they are pretty sturdy. I remember once, in Berlin, my bag got knocked over, and my laptop charger was still plugged in – the plug didn't even budge. So, there's that. But 4.8mm pins? Seriously, what's the point of that level of detail? It's not like my phone charger cares about a fraction of a millimeter. It's just… over-engineered, you know?
