What should you not pack in a container?
What NOT to pack in a container? Ugh, packing itself is the WORST, right? I mean, who enjoys it? Seriously.
First off, perishables are a HUGE no-no. I once packed a half-eaten apple in a box for a move – don't ask. The smell? Let's just say I had to air out the entire apartment for a week. Food? Plants? Forget it. Total disaster waiting to happen. You'd be surprised what a mess a single rotting banana can create. Learned that the hard way.
And then there's the stuff you just can't replace. Like, my birth certificate? That's glued to my person, literally. Okay, maybe not glued, but it's staying with me, no way it's going near a cardboard box. Think about it— losing something like that would be a nightmare! So many bureaucratic headaches…just thinking about it gives me a migraine.
And precious heirlooms? Absolutely not. My grandmother’s antique teacup? Nope. My dad's old war medals? Absolutely not a chance. They’re just too fragile. The thought of something happening to them… well, it gives me serious anxiety. I’d rather carry them myself, even if it means more work. It's worth it to know they are safe.
Seriously, you have to think about what you'd actually be heartbroken to lose. That's what you keep close. Everything else? Maybe it can survive a little jostling in a box. Maybe. But not the good stuff, you know?
