But seriously, who is awake then besides bakers and insomniacs? I mean, it makes sense that the roads would be empty – most people are (hopefully!) still sound asleep. But still, I always wonder, are people extra careful then, knowing everyone else is probably half-asleep too? I'd hope so! Imagine getting into an accident because someone was too tired to drive... No thanks! So yeah, if you absolutely have to drive, and you can stomach the ungodly hour, those early morning hours seem like your best bet for avoiding the daily commute craziness.
