What to do if money is debited from my account but not received?

Okay, so this happened to me once. Poof! Money gone. Just like that. It was so weird, almost like a magic trick, but a really bad one. I checked my balance online, and it was just… gone. Like, what?! I'm supposed to jump through all these hoops, sending a registered letter (like, who even does that anymore?!), waiting fifteen whole days - are you kidding me? Fifteen days feels like a year when you're waiting for your own money back! And then, then, if the bank still ignores me (which, let’s be honest, feels totally possible), I have to contact the Ombudsman? Seriously? It’s like they’re trying to make this difficult. Remember that time I was saving up for that concert, and my card got double-charged for those stupid train tickets? It took me weeks to sort that out!
