Forgot something on a plane? What to do?
Ugh, left my favorite scarf on a flight last October, flying Southwest from Denver to San Diego. Panic. Total panic.
First thing, I called Southwest. Immediately. Their number is easy to find online. They said it goes to lost and found at the destination airport; San Diego in my case.
The San Diego airport's lost and found was surprisingly efficient. I got a call after just three days. It was there.
Cost? Nothing, thankfully, to recover it. Just a little bit of stress, which thankfully, resolved quickly. Always double-check before exiting, people. Seriously.
Airlines handle lost items differently, sometimes through their own system, sometimes via the airport itself. Check with the airline first, though. That's your best bet.
