What to do when you have an 11 hour layover?

Eleven hours?! Ugh, thats a long one. Id probably start by scoping out the airport for any cool shops or quirky art. Grabbing a bite at a restaurant is always a good idea. If Im feeling restless, a brisk walk could help. Otherwise, Id curl up somewhere with a good book or binge-watch a show. Honestly, the boredom might drive me to try airport yoga – desperation breeds innovation, right?

Okay, so you’ve got an 11-hour layover… Eleven hours?! Oh man, that’s practically a whole day stuck in transit. Been there, suffered through that. Let me tell you, you need a strategy!

First things first, I’d totally do a quick reconnaissance mission around the airport. Are there any interesting shops? Any weird, cool art installations? Sometimes airports have the strangest, most fascinating things hidden away. You never know! Plus, walking around helps kill time, and you get to people-watch. Always entertaining.

Then, food. Gotta eat, right? Scope out the restaurants. Is there anything that looks remotely appealing? I mean, airport food isn’t exactly gourmet, but sometimes you can find a hidden gem. Or, you know, just settle for something familiar and comforting. Hey, no judgment here!

If I’m starting to feel like a caged animal pacing back and forth, a brisk walk is definitely in order. Just to get the blood flowing. Sometimes I’ll just walk the length of the terminal and back a few times. Looks a little crazy, maybe, but who cares?

And then… the inevitable. Finding a comfy-ish spot (those airport chairs are NEVER comfy enough!) and diving into a good book or binge-watching a show. Download some stuff beforehand, trust me on this one. Nothing’s worse than being stuck without entertainment! Remember that time I was stuck in Chicago with nothing to do? Ended up reading the back of a cereal box like it was Tolstoy.

Okay, honestly, if I’m really desperate, I might even consider airport yoga. I know, I know, it sounds ridiculous. But hear me out! Desperation breeds innovation, right? Plus, stretching helps with those travel kinks. I mean, I’ve never actually done it, but the thought has crossed my mind more than once. You might see me awkwardly attempting a downward-facing dog near gate C32 someday. Don’t judge!
