Which is not an acceptable hand position on the steering wheel?
Ugh, crossing your hands over the steering wheel? Thats a total no-go for me! It feels so awkward and, honestly, terrifying. Ive seen what happens when people lose control – its terrifying. Keeping your hands at 9 and 3, or even 8 and 4, feels so much safer and more natural. Its all about control and quick reactions, and that crossed-hands thing is just asking for trouble. I’d never risk it!
Crossing your hands? Seriously? Who does that?! It’s like begging for an accident. I remember once, my uncle, he was driving this old pickup truck, and he went to make a turn – hands crossed – hit a pothole (I swear, it wasn’t even that big!), and the wheel jerked. He almost lost control. Scared the heck out of me, and him too, I think. It’s just common sense, right? You need to be able to react quickly. Nine and 3, or even 8 and 4 if you’re feeling fancy, gives you way more control. It’s like… imagine trying to catch a ball with your arms crossed. Wouldn’t work, would it? Same thing with steering. So yeah, don’t cross your hands. Please. Just… don’t.
