Can you still fly over Russia?
Okay, so, flying over Russia these days... Can you even do that?
Honestly, the whole thing gives me the heebie-jeebies. Officially, yeah, I think some airlines are supposed to be allowed to fly over Russian airspace. But... I don't know, does anyone really know what's going on up there in those corridors? With all the conflicts and tension, it just feels like a huge question mark hanging over everything. Safety isn't exactly a given, is it?
I mean, I can just imagine being on a flight that might go over Russia. I'd be glued to that little airplane icon on the seatback screen, obsessively checking the route, praying the whole trip that nothing goes wrong. Remember that time my flight got diverted because of unexpected turbulence? It was scary enough then, and that was just weather! This is... well, it's a whole different ballgame, isn't it?
Honestly, for me personally, it's just too risky, too much uncertainty. I'd probably choose a longer, more roundabout route just to avoid the potential headache and anxiety. Maybe I'm being overly cautious, but...peace of mind is worth a lot, you know? Plus, think of the extra movies you could watch on the longer flight! Silver linings, right?
