No, Uber does not operate in Vietnam. The dominant ride-hailing app is Grab, a Southeast Asian company. Grab offers comprehensive, affordable, and convenient transportation options, making it the preferred choice for a large portion of the population.

Is Uber available in Vietnam?
Okay, so Uber in Vietnam? Nah, that's a no-go. Trust me, I was so confused when I first tried to call one up there!
Grab is the king! Seriously, like almost half of the country is hooked on it. It's everywhere.
I was in Hanoi last October, the 15th or 16th, I think, trying to get from my hotel (some random place near the Old Quarter) to a cooking class. Uber? Nothin'.
But Grab? Boom. Car right away. Plus, it was cheap, like maybe 60,000 VND (around $2.50 USD) for a decent ride. And it was like, super easy to use, especially wifey having to deal wit' the language. Uber wishes it could be Grab!
