Timing matters when ordering an airport rideshare. Many travelers make the mistake of requesting a car the moment the airplane touches down, only to get hit with wait-time fees while stuck at baggage claim waiting for bags.

Wait until you have your bags in hand and are heading toward the exit doors before opening the app. This ensures your driver does not arrive at the pickup zone minutes before you do, minimizing the risk of cancellation fees or driver frustration in busy airport lanes.

Even with clear airport signage, GPS signals can bounce around inside large terminal buildings, making your pin drop slightly inaccurate.
