Is there any rail line in Bhutan?

Okay, so about Bhutan and trains... Does Bhutan have a train line? The quick answer is no, not right now. Nope, no trains chugging along in Bhutan. I know, right? It's kind of surprising, isn't it?

I remember once I was talking to a friend who'd traveled all over Southeast Asia, and she mentioned taking overnight trains through Thailand. I was picturing something similar in Bhutan, just imagining those beautiful landscapes flashing by a train window, but sadly, no such luck!

The truth is, Bhutan's landlocked, and for getting around inside the country, they mostly depend on roads. That’s why you need to drive! But, you know, there's this plan... I heard they're actually thinking about building a railway that would connect Bhutan to India. Can you imagine how cool that would be? It’s just a plan for now, though, nothing concrete. It's not been constructed yet.

So, yeah, for now, if you're heading to Bhutan, get ready for some awesome road trips – the scenery is worth it, even without a train in sight! Who knows, maybe someday I'll be able to hop on a train there. Wouldn’t that be amazing?
