What are the steps in the delivery process?

Okay, so, delivery. Where do I even begin? It's like, seriously, THE most intense thing, right? I mean, think about it. First, your cervix has to open up all the way – all the way – which, I've heard, is like, whoa. Painful, for sure. I remember my friend Sarah telling me she felt like she was being ripped apart. Yikes! Then, the pushing. Like, seriously pushing. I’ve seen videos; it looks exhausting. Pushing with everything you’ve got to get that little human down the birth canal… I can’t even imagine that burning feeling everyone talks about. Is it like fire? Is it like…I don’t even know! And then, after all that – finally – crowning! Can you picture it? That tiny little head appearing? I bet it's the most amazing, overwhelming, terrifyingly beautiful thing ever. My sister said she cried, laughed, and screamed all at once. Makes sense, right? It's just… I mean, it's bringing a whole new person into the world. It’s gotta be completely transformative. Just…wow. Seriously powerful stuff.
