Is it even a question? The number one subway line in Toronto is obviously Line 1, the Yonge-University. I mean, come on, it's the only one most people think of, right? It's this massive, sprawling thing… seriously, so long. Like, you could practically commute to another city on it. And crowded? Don't even get me started. Rush hour on Line 1 is... an experience. Let's just say I've been intimately acquainted with more strangers' armpits than I care to remember. One time, it was so packed I swear I was suspended in mid-air, my feet not even touching the ground!

It does get me where I need to go, eventually. Keyword: eventually. The delays, though… ugh. You could be five minutes late, you could be fifty. Who knows? It's a gamble every single time. And those packed cars? Suffocating. Remember that armpit story? Yeah. It’s the city’s lifeline, they say. More like the city’s… slow, agonizing chokehold, sometimes. I swear, some days I feel like I’m losing years of my life just standing there, crammed between a guy blasting music through his headphones and a woman who seems to have brought her entire week's groceries onboard.
