Seriously, ditch the car. Fast.
Run away from the tracks, towards the train. Like, 20 feet minimum. Saw this tip on a safety poster at the DMV in Sacramento last July. Cost me five bucks for a replacement license, but worth it.
Then, call 911. Or whoever your local emergency number is. Did this once back in '19 when a truck stalled near the tracks outside Reno. Scary stuff. Better safe than sorry, right?
