Are the trains good in Vietnam?
Are Vietnams trains reliable and comfortable?
Okay, so, Vietnam trains, huh? Reliable AND comfy? Mmm, lemme tell you about my experience...
Frankly? I wouldn't bank on it. They are cheaper now.
Here's the deal. I took the train from, like, Da Nang to Nha Trang back in December of '19. I think it was around $35? View? Stunning. The whole experience? Less so.
My seat was...well, worn. Real worn. And the a/c, or lack of, meant I arrived sweaty as hell. Plus it took forever! Flights way more efficient.
There's that Reddit thread on r/Vietnam. Folks there kinda feel the same way I do. Not really worth it, time and comfort-wise.
Listen, beautiful scenery, yes. Reliable and comfy? Ehhh... unless things have dramatically changed, I'd stick to buses or planes.
Maybe trains are just outdated in VN today.
