Are there any luxury train rides in the US?
Luxury train rides in the US? Oh my gosh, are there? I mean, I always thought they were mostly a European thing, right? But yeah, turns out there are! And some seriously swanky ones, too. I've been obsessed with the Rocky Mountaineer for ages. Seriously, have you seen pictures? Those glass-domed coaches?! It's like something out of a movie.
I picture myself, you know, all cozy and comfy, sipping something bubbly, maybe a mimosa – definitely not a lukewarm coffee like I usually end up with on a regular train! – and just… completely overwhelmed by the beauty of the Rockies. The sheer scale of it all! Mountains, forests, rivers… and all from the comfort of a plush seat. It's totally my ideal escape. Like, forget crowded airports and delayed flights – this is pure, unadulterated relaxation. I even read somewhere – I think it was a travel blog, maybe? – that they have gourmet meals on board. Can you even imagine? A gourmet meal while looking out at the Canadian Rockies! It's officially on my bucket list, maybe even top of it, honestly. One day! I really, really hope I can manage it. My friend Sarah went on a similar trip in Switzerland – she showed me pictures of the Alps, and wow, talk about stunning! That just fueled the fire, haha. So yeah, there's definitely hope for me and the Rocky Mountaineer.
