Can I add TSA PreCheck if I already bought tickets?
Ugh, TSA PreCheck – I always forget something, don't I? So, can you add it after you've bought your tickets? Because, like, last time I totally spaced and ended up in that ridiculously long line. Remember that time? It was awful, I nearly missed my flight! Seriously, I swear I was going to start crying.
Anyway, the good news is yes, you can add it later. Phew! I learned this the hard way, obviously. If you're like me and totally blanked on adding your Known Traveler Number (that's the KTN, by the way – I had to look that up again myself, just now) after booking, just get in touch with your airline. They're usually pretty helpful. You can do it through their app, their website, or even just call them. I usually just use the app because, honestly, who wants to be on hold? I tried that once; let's just say it wasn't my best hour. They should be able to update your reservation no problem. So, don't panic! You're not doomed to hours of airport boredom.
