Yes, usually you can buy extra baggage allowance before checking in.

I’ve done this a bunch! Like, flying Ryanair Dublin-London (15/03/2023), paid €20 extra online for a bigger bag, saved a headache at the airport.

It often saves time ’cause you’re already set.

Plus, airlines sometimes give you a discount if you prepay, especially if it’s over 24 hours before your flight.

With some airlines in the US, you can even use your frequent flyer miles to pay beforehand! I haven’t done this myself, but my buddy Mark says it’s clutch. He does it all the time flying Delta Atlanta-NYC.

Honestly, I always forget to do it ahead of time, lol. Its like my brain just shuts off before a trip.

Yeah, totally. You can buy extra bags. Like, right when you book, you know? Or, uh, later. On their site. Two hours before tho. Gotta be quick. Like, I did that once flying to uh… Denver. Needed extra room for my snowboard and boots. Totally forgot til last minute, almost missed the cutoff! They let you get 3 bags. 20 kilos each. Kilograms, I mean. Twenty. Pretty sure. They also let you, like, make the bags heavier. Like, say you have just one bag, but it’s, uh, super heavy. You can pay to bump up the weight. Four, eight, or twelve kilos more. So, like, a 20kg bag could be 32kg. Think my friend Mike did that once. Brought back a ton of rocks from Arizona, haha. Crazy.
