Okay, so here's the deal with Vietnam e-visas, from my own kinda-confused experience...
A Vietnam e-visa, right, it's good for, like, max 90 days. Whether you wanna hop in once or go back and forth a bunch, that's the limit. Single or multiple entry, they call it.
Getting one? You can do it yourself, obvs. Or have some travel agency handle it. I almost used one back in...was it February 2023? Needed for Ha Long Bay.
Paid for mine online, naturally. That's how the, uh, Immigration Department (or whatever they're called) wants it done. Think it was around $25 USD back then. Remember stressing a bit, lol.
Honestly, paperwork makes my brain hurt a little. Just wanna be on the beach, y'know? And now I'm double checking if I spelled 'obvs' right... ????
How long can I stay in Vietnam without a visa?
You can actually stay in Vietnam up to 45 days visa-free now, if you're from a country with a unilateral exemption agreement. It's been in effect since August 15, 2023. Wasn't always the case, you know, just 15 days before that!
- Eligible Countries: Check if your nationality qualifies! (It’s on the gov website)
- Entry Date: Crucial, post-August 15th, 2023.
- Purpose of Visit: Mostly tourism, I think? Business might be trickier.
