Can I use a BTS card for MRT Bangkok?

Okay, so you wanna use your BTS card on the MRT in Bangkok, huh? I totally get why you'd want to! Imagine swiping one card everywhere – a dream, right?

Well, from what I've gathered, it's not quite that simple. Unfortunately, you can't directly use a BTS-branded card on all the Bangkok MRT lines. Bummer, I know! I mean, wouldn't that be amazing? Less fumbling, less confusion...

Thankfully, the Rabbit card works on the BTS Skytrain (which is great!), the BRT (Bus Rapid Transit), and the MRT Yellow and Pink Lines.
