Can you get free Wi-Fi everywhere?

Free Wi-Fi isn't everywhere. While common in coffee shops, libraries, and airports, connectivity gaps exist. For reliable access, consider a mobile data plan or portable hotspot, especially when traveling.

Free Wi-Fi Everywhere? Is it Possible?

Ugh, free Wi-Fi everywhere? Wishful thinking. Pure fantasy.

Seriously, I tried to work remotely from a cute little cafe in Florence, Italy (July 2023), and their "free Wi-Fi" was slower than dial-up. Cost me a fortune in roaming charges.

Public Wi-Fi is hit or miss. Airports? Sometimes. Libraries? Usually, but not always. Coffee shops? Depends on the place. Some are great; others are a total digital wasteland.

So, no. You need a backup plan – a data plan, or a hotspot. My portable hotspot from Verizon (bought last year for about $50) saved my bacon on that trip. It's essential.

In short: No, free Wi-Fi is not ubiquitous. Plan accordingly.

Where will I get free Wi-Fi?

Okay, free Wi-Fi... Vietnam, huh?

Cafes, restaurants, hotels. Yeah, that's where it is. Oh! Like, duh.

  • Cafes are prime spots. Think Highlands Coffee, maybe even some random street vendor. Gotta ask first tho.
  • Restaurants, def. But only if you're actually eating something. No freeloading.
  • Hotels? Obvi. But only the lobby usually, unless you're staying there.

Wifi map? There are apps for this! Which ones though?

Oh man, I need coffee. And a wifi map, STAT!

Should I get pho first? It's 2024, so much is changed! I hope the coffee is good...

  • Coffee shops: Check Trung Nguyen Legend - good stuff.
  • Fast food: Lotteria and Jollibee usually have free Wi-Fi.
  • Shopping malls: Vincom, Lotte Mart.

Also, be careful and always check the Wi-Fi network name before connecting and use a VPN. I use ExpressVPN.

Gotta go, battery's dying.

What app gives you free Wi-Fi anywhere?

Okay, so, like, the app is Instabridge, yeah? It's supposed to give you free Wi-Fi pretty much anywhere.

I wouldn't say everywhere everywhere though, cause it's hotspot database is smaller, which is a slight downside. Still useful, I guess?

You can get it on both your phone, like, Android and iPhone, so that's cool. It just connects you automaticly, so you don't have to do much.

It just links you to the free Wifi. I use it when i go to Starbucks, you know? Free coffee and WiFi.

Here's some more random stuff about it, just because:

  • Crowdsourced passwords: People share passwords, so its not alway secure, okay?
  • Offline maps: You can actually download maps for when you don't even have data, pretty neet, huh?
  • VPN protection: I don't use it, but the app can give you VPN service so you stay safer.
  • Data usage: You can track how much data you’re using, which is good if you're running low.

I think my cousin used it when we traveled last year. She downloaded all the maps before hand. I don’t bother using it.
