Enjoy Wi-Fi on many UK trains! Most train companies provide onboard internet access, plus power outlets. Station Wi-Fi is also common. However, availability and charges differ; check your train operator's website before you travel for details.

Can I get Wi-Fi on the train? Does Amtrak, or other trains, have Wi-Fi?
Ugh, train WiFi? It's a total crapshoot. Seriously.
Last summer, Amtrak from Chicago to Milwaukee? Nope. Zilch. Nada. My carefully planned work-in-progress novel remained unwritten.
Some trains, though? Like, that one time I took the Coast Starlight down the California coast – amazing views, terrible WiFi. Spotty at best.
Check directly with the train company. Don't assume anything. Their websites usually have details; sometimes even a cost.
I paid $10 for an hour of unreliable internet on a European high-speed train once. Don't be like me. Plan accordingly. No guarantees.
