Can you travel across Canada by train?
Okay, so, can you actually travel across Canada by train? Seriously, is that even a thing?
Well, oh my gosh, absolutely! I've always dreamed of doing that! Like, can you even imagine? A cross-Canada train trip... just... wow. I picture myself glued to the window, watching the landscapes morph from those majestic, snow-capped Rockies into the endless, golden prairies. All from the comfort of a cozy train car, maybe with a hot chocolate in hand?
I know VIA Rail offers services, right? Like, there's "The Canadian," which I think goes all the way from Vancouver to Toronto. I saw a documentary about it once, and it looked amazing. Seriously, it would be such an unbelievably incredible way to really see the country, you know? To actually connect with its sheer vastness, instead of just... whizzing over it in a plane. You miss so much that way!
I remember once, I took a train from Montreal to Quebec City. It wasn't the same scale, obviously, but even that glimpse of the countryside was breathtaking. It made me realize how much I miss when I'm just driving, stressed out about traffic.
Anyway, yeah, a cross-Canada train trip... it's definitely, definitely on my bucket list! Maybe one day I'll actually book it and just... go. Wouldn't that be something? What do you think, should I finally do it? ????
