Can you use the bathroom when the plane is on the ground?

Can you use the bathroom when the plane’s on the ground? Oh, honey, YES! I was so happy to finally use the airplane loo when we landed in Dublin last year. Remember that flight? The one where they kept us on the tarmac for an hour and a half? I thought I was going to explode! That tiny, claustrophobic cubicle felt like a medieval dungeon by the end of it.

It’s totally safe to use, by the way, whether the plane’s taxiing or just parked. The waste system’s the same – it’s not like the toilet magically stops working when the wheels touch down, right? I mean, think about it. It’s all sealed and pressurized.

Seriously though, the relief – you have no idea! That feeling of finally being able to… well, you know… after a long flight is just…indescribable. It’s like winning a tiny personal victory! Don’t even stress about it. Just go!

(And yes, I do have a funny story about a flight where the toilet overflowed… but that’s a story for another time. Let’s just say it involved a flight attendant with a very determined expression and a mop larger than most carry-on bags!)
