Do cruise ships have weight scales?

Yes, cruise ships typically have weight scales, usually located in the fitness center. Accuracy may be affected by ship movement. Many onboard scales also measure body fat percentage and muscle mass.

You know what? I’ve actually wondered that myself! Do cruise ships have scales? Turns out, yeah, they do. I’ve seen them – usually tucked away in the ship’s gym, you know, amongst the treadmills and stuff. Makes sense, right? People are trying to stay (somewhat) healthy even on vacation. Though personally, I’m more about the buffet and cocktails! ????

But honestly, how accurate can those scales be? I mean, the ship is constantly moving, rocking back and forth… wouldn’t that mess with the readings? Just imagine trying to stand perfectly still on a scale while the whole thing is swaying. It’s kind of comical to picture. And I’ve heard (maybe it’s just me?) that some of them even try to tell you your body fat percentage and muscle mass. Like, really? On a cruise ship? Feels a little… extra, don’t you think? I’m skeptical. But hey, if you’re into that sort of thing, go for it. I’ll be by the pool.
