Ugh, this credit card thing always stresses me out. I learned this the hard way, last July in Rome. My card got flagged – after a perfectly innocent gelato purchase. A near heart attack.

So, yeah, tell your credit card company. It's a total lifesaver. It avoids hassle. Saves you frantic calls.

Seriously, five minutes on the phone is worth it. Think of the time saved dealing with a blocked card abroad, plus the possible international call charges.

I learned that lesson, 2nd July 2023, cost me a good hour on hold, and a whole lotta gelato anxiety. Totally worth the heads-up.
