Think it was 2023? Sailing the Caribbean out of Ft. Lauderdale, bleh, so humid. Anyway, I'm not usually a cruise person, but my mom loves them. Had to tag along, right?

One night, bam! "Caribbean Night." Expected cheesy pirate stuff, to be honest.

But it was surprisingly fun. Steel drums, the whole crew in bright shirts, even those grumpy old guys were trying to salsa! Real steel drums, not just some recording. Felt like a tourist trap, but hey, I was a tourist.
