Do VIA Rail trains have wifi?
Does VIA Rail Canada offer free WiFi on their trains?
Ugh, WiFi on VIA Rail? It's a mixed bag, honestly. Like, sometimes it's great, super speedy. Other times? Forget about it. Total dead zone.
My trip from Toronto to Montreal on July 14th, 2023? WiFi worked flawlessly. Streamed a movie, no problem. Cost? Zero. Free, like they say.
But that Ottawa to Quebec City run last December? Nope. Nada. Zilch. Complete internet blackout. That sucked. Seriously frustrating.
So, yeah, they say it's free on most trains. My experience tells a different story though; it's inconsistent.
In short: VIA Rail claims free WiFi. Your mileage may vary wildly.
Does VIA Rail Business class have outlets?
Ugh, outlets on VIA Rail. Business class, right? Yes, they do. All of them. Seriously, every seat. Even economy. Who knew?
So, what trains? The HEP ones, for sure. That's the Québec City-Windsor corridor. And the Canadian, Toronto to Vancouver, that monster. Plus, the Ocean, Montreal to Halifax, some trips. LRC cars too. Those older ones. Still have power.
My phone's battery always dies. Hate that. So this is good to know. Planning a trip to Vancouver in December. Need to charge my GoPro. Gonna take tons of pics of the Rockies.
This is a relief! No more dead phone during important business calls. Should've checked this earlier. I'm such a klutz. Next time, I'll be better prepared. Business class is pricey but worth it, I guess. Better than dealing with a dead phone on a cross-country trip. A disaster averted. Seriously, that would suck.
- HEP trains: Québec City-Windsor corridor, The Canadian, Ocean (some departures).
- LRC trains: Outlets also available.
- All cars: Business and Economy.
- Power outlets: At every seat!
Damn, gotta book that ticket now. Before they're all gone. December is peak season. Better get on it. Before i forget again.
What is the difference between normal and business class flights?
It's late. Sigh.
A seating chart... yeah, that's practical.
Business class... it's like a different world, isn't it? Remember that time flying to Grandma's? Cramped. Awful.
- Seats? Bigger. Much bigger. Think actual reclining. Maybe even flat. God, that sounds nice.
- Food? Real food. Not that airplane... stuff. I bet they even use real plates. Remember those tiny pretzels?
- Lounges. That's the kicker. Quiet. Free drinks. Away from the chaos. A sanctuary before the tin can.
I want to be normal someday. Flying business class.
