Do we need to pay for Google Maps API?

Wait, hold on… Google Maps API is free? No way! I mean, really? That’s absolutely mind-blowing. I remember a few years ago, I had this idea for an app – it was going to map out all the best independent coffee shops in my city, you know, the ones with the quirky baristas and mismatched furniture. I even sketched out the whole interface! But then I looked into the cost of using the Google Maps API and… oof. It was just way too expensive for a little side project like mine. So it just sat there, gathering digital dust. Like, how are small developers supposed to compete, right?

So to hear it’s actually free now? Seriously? This is HUGE. I’m practically buzzing with excitement. I mean, think of the possibilities! Maybe I’ll actually dust off that coffee shop app idea. Or, hey, maybe something completely new! The world (or at least the map of it) is my oyster now! It’s kinda like suddenly having a superpower, isn’t it? The power of maps…at my fingertips…for free.
