Do you tap out on London buses on Reddit?
No need for Oyster cards on London buses! Use contactless payment (credit/debit cards or Apple Pay) – simply tap in and tap out at the reader. A daily cap prevents overpayment. Crucially, use the same card for both taps.

Do London bus tap-outs happen on Reddit?
Okay, so about tapping out on London buses and if folks chat about it on Reddit…
Yeah, you can use your contactless card or Apple Pay on the buses. Forget the Oyster card sometimes, honestly! And don’t even think about a travel card.
No need to tap out on buses! Just tap in. Big difference. You definitely tap in, obviously. And there’s a daily fare cap for all your bus trips. I think its great.
I legit remember once, maybe around August 2021, I was rushing to get to Borough Market. Used my phone to pay. SO convenient. I think the daily cap back then was maybe around £4.50, but I’m not super sure. I love Borough Market, like, so much.
Don’t worry about which card or app you use across the London transit system too much, for example, tube or train, its more for those, not bussing.
