Does AppleCare cover Theft abroad?

Okay, so does AppleCare cover theft abroad? Ugh, it's such a pain, right? AppleCare+ with Theft and Loss... it still isn't worldwide, can you believe it?

I mean, honestly, it's a little ridiculous. I remember my friend Sarah – she had her iPhone nicked in Portugal last summer. She was so stressed! And guess what? Even though she had AppleCare+, she was totally out of luck. Nada. Zilch. Apparently, Portugal's not covered.

And it's not like she was doing anything crazy. She was just, you know, taking a photo of this beautiful church, BAM, gone!

It just doesn't seem right, does it? Like, they cover theft in the UK, but not the rest of Europe? Seriously? Where's the logic? I get things are complicated, but come on, Apple! You're a global company!

It feels so unfair to pay a premium for that extra theft and loss protection, thinking you're all covered, and then wham...you find out you're only protected in certain countries. What's the point of that? They really need to expand this coverage, like, yesterday. Don't you think? I mean, we travel, things happen...shouldn't we be protected wherever we go? I know I'd feel a whole lot better knowing I wouldn't be completely stranded if my phone vanished on vacation.
