Does Celebrity Cruises offer status match?

Okay, so you’re wondering about status matching with Celebrity Cruises, huh? Well, from what I’ve gathered, Celebrity doesn’t really do a straight-up status match from, say, a hotel loyalty program or another cruise line. Bummer, I know! I was hoping they would match my Marriott status, but no luck.

However, and this is a big however, within their own family – Royal Caribbean Group – it’s a whole different ballgame! Being a loyal Captain’s Club member with Celebrity is definitely worth something! Basically, your Captain’s Club status is recognized by Royal Caribbean and Silversea Cruises. Now that’s a sweet deal! I mean, think about it: one loyalty program, perks across three awesome cruise lines.

I’m still trying to figure out exactly how the tier matching works, you know? Like, if you’re a Zenith member with Celebrity (which, let’s be honest, is the dream!), do you get equivalent top-tier status on Royal Caribbean and Silversea? Or is it a sliding scale? I’m betting the higher the Celebrity tier, the better the perks are across the board. I mean, it makes sense, right?

I remember my friend Sarah, who sailed with Celebrity once and got into the Captain’s Club. She then used her status to snag some sweet perks on a Royal Caribbean cruise. It’s all about playing the system, isn’t it?
