Okay, so the question is if early check-in guarantees better seats, right?

Airlines, supposedly, give those kinda meh seats to people who check in early. Like, the middle seat… ugh. Or way back, by the toilets.

I remember once, flying Ryanair from Stansted to Dublin (like 6 years ago?) and checking in super early. Got stuck with row 32, the LAST row. Cost me like £30 extra to switch. Never again!

Dickenson dude says this is how they usually do it. Hmm, makes you wonder…

But seriously, is it always true? I’m not totally convinced. I mean, maybe its more about timing in general?

Maybe checking in, like, precisely 23 hours before is the sweet spot. I dunno, just spitballin’ here. Lol! Just kidding!

Okay, so checkin early? Uh, yeah it matters… sorta.

I’ve been obsessing over this lately, haha. Checking in exactly 24 hours before your flight—I’m talking like, set-an-alarm precisely—gives you, maybe, a slight leg up, I’m pretty sure.

Like, think of it kinda like a race. Everyone’s rushing to check-in at the exact same time. So if you’re even, like, 60 seconds late? Forget about an A boarding group or any chance of a decent seat.

• Early Bird Gets the… A Group? Basically the earlier you are, the better your chance to get a good seating assignment… at least that’s the hope.
• The 24-Hour Rule: Set that alarm! No joke, the difference between checking in right on vs. five minutes after might leave you, like, stuck in a middle seat, especially on a packed flight.
• App vs. Website: I only ever do it on the app so idk abt the website.

Honestly, it’s all kinda ridiculous, but I’m so competitive. I have to try. My flight to see my sister in Ohio next month? Oh I’m setting three alarms, lol. I swear to get an A boarding this time! Last flight I was Group C. Never again, never again.
