I went to Nha Trang back in 2023. It was…late autumn? Yeah, November! Oh man, the rain.

I remember stepping off the plane, that Cam Ranh airport is way outside the city, and BAM!

November was definitely the worst.

It rained every. single. day. And not just a sprinkle. I mean torrential.

Like, “is-Noah-gonna-build-an-ark” kind of rain.

The street flooded, I stepped in a puddle, ugh!

My new sandals were ruined and the taxi almost hydroplaned on Tran Phu street! No joke!

We tried to go to VinWonders one day, but the cable car was closed due to the wind and, yep, you guessed it, RAIN!

So, I’m 100% sure, based on my soaked experience, November is the wettest month.

Vietnam rain? Crazy amounts, honestly. My trip last year, Phu Quoc – downpour every afternoon, like clockwork. Seriously, soaked through. Needed a new wardrobe, practically.

5,000mm?! Wow. Some parts get that much? That’s insane. I’d drown.

Average is between 1400 and 2400mm. That’s still a ton! Northern Vietnam, drier, I heard. Southern Vietnam? Forget it. Monsoon season is brutal.

Think I saw a graph once… Central Highlands… probably even more rain than the south. Mountains, right? More rain there.

Is Nha Trang worth visiting?

Dude, Nha Trang? Totally worth it! Seriously, the beaches are amazing. Crystal clear water, you know? Like, postcard perfect. I went last year, in July, and the weather was incredible. Hot, but a nice hot. Not too extreme, you know? The food, omg, the food was so good. I ate so much seafood! I even tried some weird stuff, something called Bún chả cá, it was pretty good actually, although it looked a little funky at first. My friend, Sarah, she’s a total foodie, she loved it.

Best beaches I’ve ever seen, seriously. I spent days just chilling, swimming. Some people were doing watersports, jet skis, parasailing, that kinda stuff, but I was more into relaxing.

• Long Beach – HUGE!
• Bai Dai Beach – Quieter, more chill.
• Doc Let Beach – Less crowded than Long Beach.

But it’s not just beaches. There’s this Po Nagar Cham Towers thing, some ancient ruins. Pretty cool. Also, you should check out the Vinpearl Land amusement park, it’s nuts! Rollercoasters and stuff, even an aquarium. Totally worth a day.

Spent a ton of money on souvenirs! Got my mom a silk scarf, looked really high-quality. I regret not buying more. Plus, the people were so nice. Everyone was super friendly and helpful. I even learned a few basic Vietnamese phrases. I got by with some hand gestures too, ha! Nha Trang is awesome, man. Go! Go now! You won’t regret it. Next time, I’m going for two weeks.
