I mean, picture this: you’re settled in your seat, maybe with a little bento box and a drink, watching the countryside whiz by. Next thing you know, you’re pulling into Kyoto!

Just think of yourself zooming from Tokyo to Kyoto in a little over two hours – bliss! My friend Sarah took it last year and she was raving about it. Said she even managed to get some work done on the way! Yeah, it might set you back around 13,000 yen… or maybe a bit more depending on the time of year, I guess… but honestly, for that speed and convenience? Totally worth the splurge.
