Does trainline Railcard work everywhere?

Ugh, I wish Railcards worked everywhere! Wouldn't that be amazing? Just whip it out and boom, instant discount, no matter where you're going? Sadly, it's not that simple. They definitely have their limits. It's kind of a pain, actually.

Like, I remember I got the Network Railcard thinking, "sweet, cheaper train travel!" Then I tried to use it going up north to visit my friend in Manchester, and guess what? Useless. Total fail. Turns out it only works in the South East. So frustrating! I felt so silly, like I should've read the small print more carefully. Which, let's be honest, who really does that every time? But seriously, you really do have to check the terms and conditions for your specific Railcard. Don't be like me! They all have different areas where they're valid. And forget about using them on something like the Eurostar – that's a whole other ballgame. So yeah, no, they don't work everywhere, unfortunately. It's a bit of a bummer, right?
