How Do I Get a Refund if I Cancel My E-Ticket?
E-tickets, or electronic tickets, are becoming increasingly popular as they offer a convenient and paperless way to book and manage your travel. However, there may be times when you need to cancel your e-ticket, and it is important to know how to do so and what the refund policy is.
Canceling Your E-Ticket
E-tickets can only be canceled online. To cancel your e-ticket, you will need to visit the website of the airline or travel agent from which you purchased the ticket. Once you have logged in, you will be able to view your upcoming reservations and select the e-ticket you wish to cancel.
Refund Policy
The refund policy for canceled e-tickets varies depending on the airline or travel agent. However, most airlines have a similar policy that applies to all e-tickets.
For cancellations made less than 48 hours before departure, but more than 12 hours before departure, a cancellation fee will be deducted from the refund. The cancellation fee is typically 25% of the base fare plus GST for all AC class bookings.
For cancellations made less than 12 hours before departure, no refund will be issued.
Please note that service and transaction fees are non-refundable.
How to Get Your Refund
Once you have canceled your e-ticket, the refund will be processed within a few days. The refund will be issued to the same payment method that was used to purchase the ticket.
If you have any questions about the refund policy or how to cancel your e-ticket, please contact the airline or travel agent from which you purchased the ticket.
