How to get from Hanoi to Lan Ha Bay? Transportation options?

Ugh, getting to Lan Ha Bay from Hanoi? Let me tell you, it’s a bit of a journey.

First, you gotta get to Cat Ba Island. I took a bus from Hanoi’s My Dinh Bus Station last July, cost me around 150,000 VND. Took about three hours, pretty scenic actually. A taxi’s quicker, but way pricier.

Then, Cat Ba Town to Beo Harbor. Easy peasy. Grab a taxi or cyclo, maybe 50,000 VND max. From Beo Harbor, boats zip you to Lan Ha Bay. Lots of tours offer this.
