How do Vietnamese people travel?

Okay, here’s my take on how Vietnamese folks get around, written like I’m just chatting to you.

Motorbikes RULE! Seriously, everyone’s zipping around on ’em. It’s cheap & you can get anywhere. Even remember seeing whole families crammed on one in Hanoi (October, like 2018? Wow.)

Buses are for longer trips, for sure. My buddy, Lien, took one from Saigon to Da Nang. Said it was long, but affordable (think it cost her around $20 USD back then).

Trains are comfy and scenic, I hear. Never took one myself, always been too impatient. Maybe someday.

Taxis & Grab (ride-hailing app, like Uber) are everywhere in the city. So easy to get around, but pricier than a bike.

Flights? Fastest way to jump from north to south, obvs. A bit spendy, though.

Cyclos… aw, those are cool! More for tourists, really. Saw some in Hoi An, super cute but maybe not the most practical, ha!
