How do you go from Thailand to Vietnam?
So, you're thinking about getting from Thailand to Vietnam? Cool! I've done that trip a couple of times, and let me tell you, there are definitely some things to consider. Flying is obviously the quickest way, zipping you over there in like, what, four, four and a half hours? But oof, it can hit the wallet pretty hard. I remember one time, I paid something crazy like $150! Ouch. Usually, you're looking at somewhere between, say, $50 and $160, depending on the time of year and how far in advance you book, you know?
Then there's the bus. Way cheaper, usually somewhere in the $30-$70 range, which is a huge difference, right? But, and this is a big but, it takes forever. Seriously, like 20-21 hours! I did that once… just once. It was… an experience. Let's just say I got very well acquainted with the Vietnamese countryside. One important thing to remember about the buses – they go to different cities in Vietnam depending on the route. So, like, double-check your ticket! Don't end up in Hanoi when you meant to be in Ho Chi Minh City! I've heard stories… Anyway, just something to keep in mind. Which way is better? Well, that depends on your budget and how much time you have, doesn't it?
