How fast do European high-speed trains go?

Okay, so you're wondering how fast those European high-speed trains really go, huh? Well, let me tell you, they fly. I mean, seriously!

Officially, a lot of them can hit speeds of up to 198 mph, which is about 320 kilometers per hour. Can you even imagine going that fast on land? It's kind of mind-boggling!

I remember once, I was on the AVE in Spain, zipping from Madrid to Barcelona. I didn't even realize how fast we were going until I looked out the window and everything was just a blur. It was amazing! I think I even saw the speed displayed on a screen inside the train, it was something crazy fast.

And it's not just the AVE, you know. The TGV INOUI in France and the Frecciarossa 1000 in Italy are also known for being super speedy. I haven’t personally been on those yet - bucket list, for sure! - but I’ve heard stories. Makes you wonder, what's faster, these trains, or a plane? Probably a plane... still, the ground is better.
