You can apply for two types of visa extensions:

• One-month extension: This extension grants an additional 30 days to your visa validity.
• Three-month extension: This extension provides an extended stay of up to 90 additional days.

Conditions for Visa Extensions

To be eligible for a visa extension, you must meet the following requirements:

• Your passport must be valid for at least six months beyond the intended duration of your stay.
• You must have proof of sufficient funds to support yourself during the extended period.
• You must not have violated any Vietnamese laws or regulations.

Application Process for Visa Extensions

You can apply for a visa extension at the Vietnam Immigration Department office in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, or Da Nang. The application process is straightforward and involves submitting the following documents:

• Your passport with the original visa.
• A completed visa extension application form.
• Two passport-size photos.
• Proof of your financial means.
• A processing fee.

Note: It is recommended to apply for the visa extension at least 7 working days before your current visa expires.

Validity and Duration of Extensions

Once approved, the visa extension will be attached to your original visa in your passport. The validity period of the extension will start from the day after your initial visa expires.
