How long does it take to cover 500 km?

Gosh, 500km? That’s a heck of a drive! How long does it actually feel like, you know? Not just the numbers. I remember once, driving from my parents’ place to my sister’s – it was probably around that distance, give or take. Took forever! Felt like a million years, especially with the kids fighting in the back. The calculation says 6 hours and 15 minutes at 80km/h – which, okay, sure, mathematically that’s right. But add in bathroom breaks (seriously, with two kids, it’s a marathon of potty stops!), lunch, maybe a bit of a traffic jam… It’s never just six hours and fifteen minutes, is it? More like a whole day’s work, even if it’s just driving. And that’s not even counting those times I got hopelessly lost and ended up adding an extra hour, or two… I swear, my GPS has a sense of humor sometimes. So yeah, 6 hours 15 minutes? Maybe. Plan for longer, though, that’s my advice. You’ll thank me later.
