How long should I stay in Phong Nha?

How many days in Phong Nha, Vietnam?

Okay, so Phong Nha, huh? Lemme tell ya...

For real, if you're gonna see Phong Nha proper, and I mean really experience it, you want a minimum of 3-4 days there. Trust me.

I went last spring, March 15th-18th. Caves blew my MIND. Hiked. Kayaked. It was rad!

Thing is, those caves…Paradise Cave, Phong Nha Cave, and the Dark Cave… they eat up time. Plus, you gotta factor in travel between them, you know?

We spent around $200 total, not including flight, just the activities and accommodation on spot.

Honestly, I could've stayed longer. Maybe I'll bring a book next time and spend five days there. It felt that peaceful. Even longer, I can totally see myself renting an apartment there and just doing my own thing for 2 weeks straight. It seems very nice.
