How many days should I spend in Hoi An?

Okay, Hoi An… how many days? Hmm. 3 to 4 days? Yeah, that feels right. But wait, depends what you WANT.

Like, are you a beach bum? Then tack on more days. An Bang Beach is worth it, trust me. Or are you all about the tailoring?

I spent a week there once, got like, five dresses made. No regrets! Seriously, my best dresses came from Hoi An.

• Shopping: Tailoring, lanterns, leather goods.
• Beaches: An Bang, Cua Dai (though eroding, sadly).
• Food: Cao Lau, white rose dumplings (yum!), banh mi.
• Ancient Town: Japanese Covered Bridge, Assembly Halls, old houses.

Plus, day trips. My Son Sanctuary? That’s a must. It’s kinda like Angkor Wat, but smaller and… orange-er? Anyway, back to days…

Three days MINIMUM, I’d say. One for the Ancient Town itself. One for beach, one for My Son or some other trip. Four is better if you’re chill. More if you want clothes. Easy.

Are you into cooking classes? Another day gone. Oh! And the night market! Totally worth seeing! So yeah, plan accordingly.

Is 3 days in a Da Nang enough?

Three days in Da Nang? Barely scratches the surface. You could easily spend a week, honestly. Da Nang’s appeal lies in its multifaceted nature.

My own trip, last October, proved this. I prioritized efficient exploration.

• My Son Sanctuary: A must-see. The ancient Cham towers are breathtaking. Allow a full day, including travel time. The history is fascinating; the architecture, remarkable. It makes you think about the passage of time, doesn’t it?

• Marble Mountains: Stunning caves and pagodas. Less demanding than My Son, but still enriching. Half a day’s visit is ample. The views are simply incredible. Seriously stunning views.

• Beaches: Da Nang boasts beautiful beaches. Non Nuoc Beach is my personal favorite. Relaxation is crucial. Sun, sand, the perfect escape. Two half days minimum, ideally.

Three days? It’s possible to hit the highlights, but rushing diminishes the experience. A longer stay allows for deeper exploration, maybe even a cooking class – I regret not doing that! Da Nang offers more than just sightseeing. It’s about absorbing the atmosphere, savoring the food, and losing yourself in its beauty. You’ll find yourself wanting more time.

Contemplating a longer trip? Consider exploring Hoi An (easily reachable from Da Nang), another incredible destination nearby. Its ancient town is a UNESCO World Heritage site. It deserves its own dedicated time. I’d say at least two days are necessary.

Optimal itinerary (five days):

• Day 1-2: Da Nang (Beaches, Marble Mountains)
• Day 3: My Son Sanctuary
• Day 4-5: Hoi An

The pace is key. Don’t cram everything in. Enjoy the journey.

How many days should I spend in Hoi An?

Three, four days, easy. Did Hoi An in ’22. Loved it. Tailors, right? Got some awesome clothes made. Should’ve gotten more. Food was amazing. Ate cao lau every. single. day. Those little white rose dumplings? So good. Rented a motorbike, zoomed around. Beaches were nice, kinda busy though. An Bang. Yeah. Went there. My hotel, the Cozy Savvy Boutique Hotel. Great place. Pool on the roof! Could’ve stayed longer, but had to get to Hanoi.

• 3-4 days is perfect for Hoi An. Enough to see the main sights.
• Tailor up! Seriously, best part. Get a suit, dresses, whatever.
• Cao lau is a must-try. Also banh mi. Street food’s the best.
• Rent a motorbike. Easy to get around. Explore further afield.
• Hit the beach. Cua Dai, An Bang, lots of choices. A little crowded sometimes.
• Lanterns! They light up at night. So pretty. Magic.
• Japanese Covered Bridge. Iconic. Gotta see it. Picture time.
• Cooking class? Did one. Fun. Learned to make spring rolls. Yum.

My friend Sarah went last year. Stayed for like, five days. Said it was too much. Got kinda bored. So, yea. Stick to 3-4. Unless, you really love tailors. Then maybe stay a week and get your whole wardrobe done. Just sayin’. ???? I took like, a million pictures. The old town is so picturesque.

Is 3 days in a Da Nang enough?

Three days? Da Nang deserves more. It’s doable, sure. But you’ll be rushing. I spent a week there last May, barely scratched the surface. Beaches are gorgeous, yeah, but there’s more.

• Marble Mountains: Half a day minimum. Five elements represented in marble and limestone. Intricate carvings. Who needs a gym when you have all those stairs?

• Son Tra Peninsula (Monkey Mountain): Lush jungle. Winding roads. Giant Linh Ung Pagoda statue. Breathtaking coastal views. Rent a motorbike. Absolutely.

• Hai Van Pass: Iconic. The winding road. Historic significance. A must-do. Best views.

• Ancient town of Hoi An: Okay, not in Da Nang, but a short trip south. Tailor shops, lanterns, delicious food. Worth an overnight stay, honestly. I stayed two. So charming.

Three days covers the highlights, I guess. But consider extending your stay. Seriously. Da Nang has something for everyone. Museums, bridges, rivers, markets, food tours. Golden Bridge. Dragon Bridge. You’ll miss out. I regret not going to the Cham Museum. Food. Street food, specifically. Banh xeo. Mi Quang. Divine.

Consider your priorities. Beaches? History? Food? Culture? My Tho beach was my favorite. Less crowded.

You could easily spend a week. More, even. Just saying. You’ll thank me later. I didn’t even get to Ba Na Hills. Regret.
