How many days are enough to cover Vietnam?
How many days to explore Vietnam?
Okay, so you wanna know how long to really see Vietnam? Let me tell ya, it's a question I've actually pondered quite a bit. I mean, Vietnam's amazing, right?
If you're jammed for time, and only wanna hit the big spots, maybe 7-10 days? But that's just scratching the surface, I think.
Honestly, I did two weeks in Vietnam back in January 2018 (think it cost me around $800, flights aside). We were still rushed! Hanoi was incredible. We spent two days.
I reaaally recommend longer though, if you can swing it. You need time to soak it all in. To connect.
Recommended time exploring Vietnam: 7-10 days allow seeing highlights. A longer trip lets one fully experience culture.
I personally think at least three weeks is ideal! Imagine chilling on Phu Quoc for a week...ahhh, paradise.
Can you do Vietnam in 1 week?
Okay, Vietnam in one week... hmm. Is it doable? Yeah, I guess. But like, one week is barely scratching the surface, right?
Okay, okay, let's brainstorm. You could hyper-focus. Like, just Hanoi. Or maybeHo Chi Minh City. Fly in, explore the city for 3-4 days, side trip somewhere close, fly out. Bam. Done.
Or! Ha Long Bay. That's a classic, yeah? Book a cruise. Eat seafood, kayak, take pictures. Instagram gold! 3 days, 2 nights? Plenty of tours available.
But North to South... in a week? That's ambitious. A lot of travel time. Flights everywhere. You'd see stuff, but... would you experience it? I’m not sure. My grandma always says, slow down.
Speaking of travel, that reminds me I still need to book flights to see my family for Thanksgiving! Gotta do that ASAP.
Wait, back to Vietnam! Another option: central Vietnam. Da Nang, Hoi An, Hue. Beaches, ancient towns, imperial cities. Sounds kinda appealing.
Seriously, though, pick a region. Don't try to do it all. One week = one region, at most. This is the best.
