Cruises typically last 7-10 days without docking, although ships can remain at sea for an average of 12 days. This buffer allows for unexpected delays while ensuring sufficient fuel and supplies.

How long do cruises typically last? Cruise duration in days?

Cruise trips usually last around 7-10 days.

Okay, so, lemme tell ya, from personal experience…that "12 days" thing? Sounds intense. Haha, I've only ever been on cruises that were, like, a week or so. I’d get so bored.

I remember this one cruise I took with my fam back in July '18. Left from Miami. Glorious. It was a 7-day Caribbean trip. Cost a small fortune if I recal right, maybe $800 per person? Totally worth it tho!

Honestly, 7 days is the perfect amount of time. You get to visit some cool islands, soak up the sun, eat a TON of food, and then you're, like, ready to go home. I guess a longer cruise would be okay if they stop at different ports. But 12 days straight at sea? Nah, think I’ll pass on that one. Could use more interesting stops.

I think for supplies sake, they like to make sure they don't stay out too long. Makes sense, right?
