How many flights does American Airlines make a day?

Wow, you know, I was just wondering about this the other day! How many flights does American Airlines actually make in a single day?? It's mind-boggling, really. Turns out, it's a LOT. Something like 6,800 flights daily. Can you believe that? Six thousand eight hundred! That includes all those little American Eagle puddle jumpers too, you know, the regional ones. And, get this – they fly to something like 350 destinations. Across 48 countries. Crazy, right? I remember once, I was flying American Eagle from, hmm, I think it was Charlotte to… where was it? Oh yeah, Asheville! Tiny little airport. It really brought home how extensive their network is. They fly everywhere! So, yeah, almost 7,000 flights a day. Makes you think, doesn't it, about all those planes in the air, all those people going places.
